⇒SCAZON, adj. et subst. masc.
VERSIF. GRÉCO-ROMAINE. (Vers) scazon. Vers constitué de iambes et de trochées dont la finale, au lieu de la forme régulière trochée et syllable indifférente, ou longue d'iambe et iambe pur, présente une longue pénultième (d'apr. MAR. Lex. 1933). Cinq ou six chaises recouvertes de velours (...) laissaient échapper leur bourre par les déchirures de l'étoffe et boitaient sur des pieds impairs comme des vers scazons (GAUTIER, Fracasse, 1863, p. 7).

(FUR.); 1842 adj. vers scazon (Ac. Compl.). Lat. scazon, gr. « trimètre iambique dont le dernier pied est un trochée ou un spondée » (de « boiter; être inégal [métr.] »).
